IT"S FINISHED!
doily - done. After countless hours of stretching, it's complete. I spent most of yesterday stretching it. For my first doily, I'm proud. I think gram would have been proud too.

Babette
I've been picking away at Kathy Merrick's Babette Blanket, and even though I've had to redo these squares, I thought I'd show you the colors!

One of these things is not like the other.
AND HOW! I set my doily down on the Ultimate DJ guide book as I'm learning to scratch and I just thought they were SO funny together. What do you think?

My first doily!
It's not great, but it's a first! I LOVE doilies, after I make my babette blanket I think I'm going to concentrate on doilies. There's something about the vintage books I have of my grandmother's. They are so delicate and intricate!

Babette Blanket
Here are my two first prototypes of the Babette Blanket: a two round and a three round. I really want to use this idea to make a full king size bed spread so if you have any ideas on how to go about doing this - please feel free to share!

I've started crocheting, just yesterday. I got the idea from Mitsy (ArtMind) when I was looking for something else to do to pass the time, and I wanted to make cat toys~!!
I like crocheting more than knitting. I'm still looking for easy fun NOT boring patterns. But I started with a granny square. Not a great photo because I'm not at home with my own camera....but you can see it actually looks like an object and not a knot!
