Broken Glass
Stoli and Luxor have been home for 10 hours and have already broken a potted plant, damaged the floor, and broke a glass on the tile...
it's nice to be home I swear.....

all of us are home now. Stoli was so happy to see us. Luxor didn't want to leave, but I think it was because he had to get in the carrier. Vegas was fun, tiring but fun. Stoli has already knocked a plant over and damaged the floor. Things are back to normal.....
Read more...not for the kitties, for me! No word from the boarders yet, so all is well with them. I can call between 8am and 2pm my time to check on them. It was a rough start with me, I forgot the most important necessity of all, the black tank top. Everything I brought goes with black. I THOUGHT I brought it, so it was a shock when I opened up my suitcase and didn't find it. Sheesh. Hopefully tomorrow I'll find one..... Good night Stoli and Luxor
Read more...Stoli and Luxor were boarded today. The facility isn't open on Sunday's for pick up or drop off so they had to go today. Stoli did much better than I thought. He was wide eyed but no hissing. Luxor....Anthony was a little put off by Luxor.....Luxor meowed and meowed the whole way to the boarder's house and once we got there he jumped into his bed and SLEPT!
We left them with their food, our smelly clothes, their bed, their water fountain, and their litter. I hope we thought of everything. I was a little upset but I think I'm doing ok too. I can't call them until Monday.:( Hopefully I won't hear from them, if not everything is going ok.....
keep your fingers crossed
Stoli is my feline Soul Mate. He has anxiety like me, though I don't think I'm as bad as him. He talks to me, yells at me, makes me feel guilty, gives me puppy dog eyes. He jumps on me for scritches and kisses. He'll just put his head back and shut his eyes and let himself be kissed to death. His purr can only be heard by placing your ear to his back. It's the cutest, quietest, lowest purr I've heard in a long time. It's beautiful!
He was really sick in January '07 and I thought we were going to lose him. I've watched very carefully over him since. He sleeps with a watchful eye, but sleeps ALL night (unlike Luxor) with MEEEEEEEEEE! Have you ever slept with a cat by your feet. No matter how hot or cold it is, it always feels good.
I'll forever be grateful for finding Prairie Home Cattery. Without them, I wouldn't have Stoli.
Stoli's motto - scream until you get what you want. (purring and getting belly rubs helps too)
Who is Luxor? Well, Luxor's picture is the exact opposite of his character. Luxor does not speed through life, unless you turbo kick him (not really kick). He sleeps all day, chews on Stoli's ear, eats anything on the floor. His nickname is Hoover. I have NEVER seen a cat eat faster than him. He has a lovely chirpy meow and will lick you to death if you let him. He head butts me everyday, but you have to watch out - sometimes he can have a potty mouth....literally.
Luxor's motto - carpe 'food'em
In a couple of days Anthony and I will be leaving for Las Vegas. Unfortunately there are no cat loving casinos (except for maybe the Luxor!) so Stoli and Luxor are being boarded at a cats only facility. I'm a little nervous about boarding Stoli since he's such a flexible kitty (rolls eyes). We've packed them daily meals, toys, beds, dirty laundry, and the kitchen sink - well their water fountain at least. Let's all hope that they come home happy to be home and not mad at us.
Read more...Every day, Luxor insists on waking us up at 3:30 (or 3:31) AM. We shut him out of the room and for about two hours we have piece and quiet. 5:30 AM rolls around and we have another alarm. . .kinda like a 2 hour snooze button.
Read more...I'm looking for a techno critique....I just composed a trance piece and i'm looking for critques, positives, and direction to continue the musical thoughts........
Trance...
This summer has been great! Stoli has been able to relax with his meowmy and I have been able to read a plethora of books! Namely Agatha Christie! (oh yeah and one Carl Hiassen)
She is such a great writer and it is nice to read books that aren't all gory!
Poirot Rocks!

Well, today was a pretty stressful day for Stoli. After his morning walk with his 'mum' he took a little nap with her then they had to get ready for a trip to the vet. Stoli went right into his carrier and sat right down. The ride to the vet was very calm and as we went into the vet, you could have sworn that I had a snake in that carrier! Ooo, he was mad!
The vet tech tried to inject the chip. . .Stoli was having none of that! He ended up needing to be sedated to be able to have the chip injected. After that ordeal we both went home and had a nice long rest!

Stoli's favorite toys are ones with feathers. He carries them around like he's showing off a new Kate Spade bag (sorry, I'm partial). Here's a sample of the mutilation!
Stoli has fallen in love with his beautiful collar from Lindsay Designs. She's got a great site over there. You should check her out. With Stoli's prize, we got him a collar and a matching key fob for his owner. We'll look so cute together! I've begun making Christmas Lists for both Stoli and I, collars for him, matching key fobs for me!

Today was another great day in the life of a cat. Stoli's parents were pretty busy today but he still found time to take a nap with them. He's best at playing fetch with his mama, when she isn't busy reading "The DaVinci Code".

Last night Stoli bolted in to the bathroom where his human was painting and proceeded to jump directly into the paint. Needless to say he had a bit of a scare. We washed him up as much as he'd let us. He's still got a couple of paint spots but we're slowly working them out.

On June 3rd, 2006, Stoli left Prairie Home at 2AM with Harold Hoffman to check in at the airport at 4:30AM. Continental Airlines left Kansas City at 6:30 with Stoli aboard. He arrived in Houston at 10AM and had a two hour lay over before his plane departed for Boston’s Logan Airport. Anthony, Cindy and I drove through the pouring rain to pick up the kitten at the cargo facility. Stoli was practically waiting for me when arrived. He was pretty frightened but was able to sleep a bit once we got out of Boston. We arrived in Maine at 6:15PM and after sixteen hours, Stoli was able to get out of his carrier and stretch! He has adjusted extremely well and is quite a love bug. His favorite place to be is your shoulder, where all the action is!
