Name: Luxor
Nick-Names: Hoover, Big-Luxor, the Alarm Clock
DOB: 6.6.6Location: Originally from Blue Eyed Cattery (Maus R Us)
My Story: I was told that Stoli was lonely and needed a friend. I guess my mommy and daddy talked with my breeder through email and made an arrangement to meet up at a cat show I was going to. I wasn't showing, my brother was, but I went along for the ride anyways. Mommy and daddy came to my cage and daddy instantly took a liking to me because I wasn't rambunctious like my siblings. My breeders asked daddy if he wanted to hold me and he said ok and it was love at first hug!
I came home that day and my new parents tried to slowly introduce me to this 'Stoli' cat. I wanted none of that. Let me at 'im I say! By day three I had my way and I was out and about.
Stoli is my best bud and I follow him around everywhere. In fact mommy had a hard time trying to find photos of just me because all my photos were with my big bro!
I chew on things I shouldn't, but I can't help it. It's a nasty habit I have. I like to chew on dirt, grass, string, ribbon, my tail, plastic, polymer, clothes, Stoli, shoes, bugs, lint, hair; you name it - EVERYTHING is game.
Favorite Toy: Crinkle Balls
Favorite Nap Spot: Anywhere the sun is beating or 6 inches away from the heater vent
I love… chewing on Stoli’s ear, chewing on my tail, my human brushing me, giving head butts, food.
I hate… Stoli’s collar, that little Priss prances around *wearing a collar that matches his eyes* and thinks he’s the cat’s meow. I try to humble him by taking that necklace off for him. My human doesn’t really approve of this tactic. I also completely and utterly despise my cat carrier and car rides. Just don’t like ‘em - *hmmph*
Special Skills: Scaling the screen door. I am quite adept in climbing the screen to get bugs. Now I have to find out how to get the bugs, they’re on the other side of the screen. Super-Power(s): Warp Drive, I can go from 0 to Warp in 3.1415926 seconds.
Here it is Nostalgia Saturday again~
This is a photo of the first Christmas in Barnstable. We still have that same runner and the same coffee table (my dad made it). But there's much more room. I see these presents and think WOW! That was a lot of gifts. And I reminisce about having a Christmas village - can't have them anymore - cats......
Mishkat had a great idea to write a little bio about our cats......Name: Stolichnaya (AKA Stoli), yes named after the vodka
Nick-Names: Baby
DOB: February 2nd, 2006, the same date we signed for our first house.
Stoli came to me via Gas Kansas back in 2006. He was such a bundle of energy, just as much as now. Only know he knows how to tick me off. He rode Continental pet cargo and we picked him up in Boston. He had been en route since 5am and was so glad to be out of that carrier when we got home at 6pm.In January '07 he got really sick and we were scared we were going to lose him. His white blood cell count was .8, yes that's right. .8. It's supposed to be in the teens. He had a bone marrow test for leukemia. It came back negative and he recovered nicely. He of course was very upset that he had to have a patch of skin shaved but he eventually got over it. I even stayed home from work for a couple days to be with him. It was so nice, stressful but nice.
Stoli loves bread, specifically buttered toast. He'll follow you all around even if you're a stranger to have some. He has a thing for cheez-its, and any REAL kitty food smothered in gravy.
Stoli's favorite toy is his half eaten furry mouse.
Stoli's favorite nap spot is any where where Luxor isn’t - preferably in the cabinet above the stove.
Stoli loves butt rubs, kisses from mommy, laying fetch with his mouse or some socks, washcloths, clothes washed in bleach.
Stoli: I used to open them a tiny bit and let them slam to let my humans know I was finding my own food. Now I can’t have any fun because almost all the cabinets have special magnetic locks on them, but I’m working on holding them magnet….
My favorite thing Stoli does: jump from the ground up to my shoulder. He use to do that when I took him out side on a leash and he still does it today.....

I have a shiner on my head from hitting my head on the whiteboard as I bent down to get a recorder. I hope it goes away by tomorrow. That was definitely a moment where I said-----if you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough

Well, I'll jump on the band wagon of themed days. I don't have a Tortie, so I can't do Tortie Tuesdays......
But I have a plethora of pictures of things in the past - so on Saturdays I'll share them with you.
Well, here's my living room back in 2001. I was standing OUT the door because our apartment was so small. I was able to have plants in our apartment because there were no cats and a fair amount of light. Look at those paperwhites! I miss them, but I wouldn't want the kitties to eat them - not so healthy. Our apartment was a living room, a bathroom a bedroom and a galley kitchen. Our favorite thing about Douglass Street was being able to sit on the loo and play Nintendo GameCube. That's how small it was. Oh how life changes!

I have four (currently) porcelain sculptures drying and almost ready to bisque fire. After I'll glaze them - I'm thinking Black, White, Red, and Textured Brown. Probably Black and White first....what do you think?
